When it comes to finding the right space for your business, there are a bunch of different factors that you’re likely considering. What will the office vibe be and how will the amenities look? Will you be needing more or less space in the future? What kind of community would you like to have as neighbours? These are all questions you will be asking yourself to figure out what you need. We are here to compare the two most common offerings when it comes to setting up your business.

Save time, Save money

As the saying goes, time is money. This proverb has guided us in business for centuries meaning that time is a valuable resource, therefore it’s better to get things done as quickly as possible.

There are 1,440 minutes in a day. Many business owners have the misconception that in order to be successful they have to hustle around the clock. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. The reality is that it is all about optimising your time. So, how does this factor into choosing an office space? We are here to show you that where you choose to work affects how you spend your time.

Moving Into Your Space

Commercial offices have been the space of choice for business owners due to the lack of alternatives. Now, with coworking growing at a rapid rate, entrepreneurs and corporates are able to optimise their working environments.

Starting a business takes time and the speed at which this takes place is a key driver to the success. Office Hub released a report which stated that it takes on average 23 days for a business to find and sign a contract for a space and then a further 14 days to move in. This is 37 days out of your valuable time spent on things other than your specific business. This however, does not involve the time spent furniture shopping, setting up the internet, finding a cleaner and hiring necessary staff.

What if I need to move out?

With no lock in contracts, coworking spaces offer a more flexible environment for members. In a commercial office, there is a lack of flexibility when it comes to leaving a space .

The same goes if you are expanding and need a bigger office space, multi-year contracts make increasing or decreasing the amount of space you’re renting pretty hard. Renting a coworking office removes this stress. Rent the size or amount of desks you need at the time, and the coworking space will usually allow you to move to another space in the building when your company grows.
